Nearly every eBay seller we've studied uses the "wrong" words in their auction titles!

For example, 1/3 of eBayers searching for "Spongebob" items erroneously search for "Sponge Bob".

The Problem:

Some eBay sellers don't know it, but 9 out of 10 eBay users search auctions by "Titles Only". (Proof)

In fact, very few eBay users ever search auction descriptions.

What does this mean?

If interested buyers are trying to find your items, but they're using keywords that do not appear directly in your title, you are literally invisible to 90% of these potential buyers!

So if you want to succeed on eBay, your titles are everything!
Most sellers use the 55 characters in the eBay auction title to simply describe the item they're selling, which is important of course. But they go about this unscientifically and use THEIR words to describe the item... not the words their potential buyers are actually searching for.

Here's An Example:

One of our clients sells t-shirts with religious themes.

For most of his auctions, he'd been using the following title: "Religious T-shirt, high-quality, white S-XL". (See below.)

Using basic titles like this, he was able to get an average of 18-20 hits per 7-day auction, with about a 33% sell-through.

Then we introduced him to SellerPower's simple 1-2-3 concept:

Use our Gigabytes of eBay search data to see which words related to the GENERIC item you're selling (in this case, t-shirts) get searched on the most.

Next, use our eBay search data to see which words related to the SPECIFIC item you're selling (in this case, religious themes) get searched on the most.

Then, artistically weave these most-searched-for keywords together into the alloted 55 characters to create a title that generates the most traffic, while still being descriptive of the item being sold.

For example, our database showed him that "shirts" was more commonly searched-for than "shirt", that "christian" gets even more traffic than "religious", etc. Using this data, he came up with the following title: "Religious (Christian) T-shirt Jesus w/Cross S-XL shirts". (See below.)

As a consequence, his eBay traffic instantly tripled (60+ visits per auction)! Not only that, he more than doubled his sell-through rate (from 33% to almost 70%) and increased his average sale price by 35%. All with a simple title change!

The next thing you'd do would be to repeat this process for ALL your items and watch your eBay profits improve with each new optimization!

"You're a genius... All my [eBay] auctions are going crazy. I have way more watches and hits. I can't thank you enough."

How We Do It:

Thousands of eBay sellers track their auctions with Sellathon's ViewTracker, our second-generation hit counter that reports the exact search phrase each visitor uses to find every auction we track.*

By harnessing this flow of search data (we track nearly 100 Million eBay searches every month), we've created a one-of-a-kind database of the most common search keywords on eBay.

So when a SellerPower member enters a word or phrase, we scan our vast database and return the most popular matches among all searches performed during the previous 90 days.

This way, you'll be able to make sure you're using the best possible words in your eBay titles.

It's Not Rocket Science:

The concept is simple:

Not everyone who's searching for your item will think to use the SAME KEYWORDS that YOU would use to search for it. So instead of just guessing which words and phrases are the best ones to use, our database (we call it "SellerPower") allows you to find out for sure.

And the results have been amazing. Doubling our user's auction traffic is actually commonplace.

And as experienced sellers know, the more interested buyers you can drive to your auctions, the higher your final prices will be.

Success on eBay is all about getting buyers to compete for your item. If there's just one interested buyer, the first bid will be the last bid. So the key to maximizing your eBay profit is driving lots of interested visitors to your auctions so that multiple bidders can drive the price up.
